We enjoyed seeing so many of our Clear Lake Wildcats and their families at this afternoon's Meet & Greet! There was an error in the dates communicated in the Clear Lake Connector and we wanted to make sure our families were aware of the correct Curriculum Night dates and times.

Dear Elementary Families,
I hope this finds you doing well and ready for a great school year! I know your children are eagerly anticipating the start of school and even more, eagerly waiting to hear who their classroom teacher will be for the 2025-2026 school year!
Many of you have heard from your building principals that you can expect classroom and teacher placement on August 14, 2025. That was our original plan across all five elementary buildings.
However, due to many late or pending enrollments, we are asking for a little more time to carefully consider class lists and try to ensure more balanced classes. Therefore, we will delay sending out class placements until Friday, August 15, 2025. You should receive notice from your home school by the end of the day Friday.
We greatly appreciate their patience as we are working diligently to prepare for our most important stakeholders- your children and our students!
Sincerely, Anita Qonja-Collins

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with our community! Thanks to the generosity of a private donor, Oxford High School will soon have a brand-new football field! We’re excited about the positive impact this gift will have for students across multiple activities.
This incredible gift will cover the full cost of the field replacement, which means no district funds will be used for this project. The new turf will proudly remain our signature Wildcat blue, and this donation reflects a shared commitment to enhancing student experiences whenever possible without additional cost to our taxpayers.
Construction will begin right away. Our Athletic Director, Tony DeMare, is coordinating closely with coaches to ensure that practices and scheduling remain uninterrupted throughout the process. We are hopeful that the new field will be ready in time for our first home football game on August 29, but there is a chance the work may not be completed by then. If a location change is necessary, we’ll communicate those details with families as soon as possible.
We’re incredibly grateful for this generous investment in our students, our programs, and our district. Thank you for your continued support; we can’t wait to see our Wildcats take the field this fall!

Dear Families and Staff,
We want to let you know that there will be fire alarm testing at Oxford Elementary School on Thursday, July 17, and Friday, July 18, beginning between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. each day.
These are only tests, and no evacuation will be required. However, the alarms will sound throughout the building as part of the routine system checks.
If you or your child will be at Oxford Elementary for breakfast or attending the OELC Summer Camp on either of those days, please be prepared for the brief noise and activity during the testing period.
Sincerely, Oxford Community Schools

Vinny H., a 5th grader at Clear Lake Elementary School, has been busy educating the community about the risks of vaping. He delivered flyers to many downtown businesses to raise awareness about the dangers.

Unfortunately, the tank scheduled to appear at tonight’s Military Appreciation Varsity Baseball Game will no longer be attending due to unforeseen conflicts. Also, a quick reminder that there is no school on Monday. We wish you all a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.

Mr. Fletcher, currently at Clear Lake, was my son’s 4th grade teacher at OES! He made such an impact on my now 6th grade son, that my son chose to follow in Mr. Fletcher's footsteps and used his earned Paw Bucks to be a teacher for the day! Mr. Fletcher was an excellent STRIDE coach and encouraged the kids to do their best and have a little fun along the way. We appreciate all that he has done for our family and I’m proud to call him my colleague! 💙💛 Go Blue! -Paula C.

We feel so fortunate to have Mrs. McIntosh from Clear Lake in our lives! She brings joy and love to our son and the other second graders in the classroom every day. Mrs. McIntosh stepped up without hesitation to support the class when the teacher unfortunately had to be out long term. Her love for the kids is so evident in everything that she does and her energy is impressive! She nurtures a love for school through having fun and celebrating successes (pajama and stuffed animal parties are a favorite). We are so grateful that instead of what could have been several different substitutes, Mrs. McIntosh was ready and willing to step up to co-teach a group of second graders and give them what is sure to be one of their best years of elementary school. She understands that kids learn and grow through fun, love and creativity and she deserves to be celebrated! -Melissa K.

Mrs. Peruski from Clear Lake will always hold a special place in our hearts. She goes above and beyond to create a safe, structured and engaging relationship and space with her students. Although my daughter is no longer in her class, she still knows that Mrs. Peruski is one of her safe and trusted adults at school who she can (and has) gone to if needed, and likely will be even when our daughter is no longer in elementary school. Mrs. Peruski has gone out of her way to check on our daughter after a hard day (on her own time), and came to a softball game where a few of her students were playing (again, on her own time) which meant the world to the girls. My daughter thrived in her classroom because of her care and structure. Mrs. Peruski deserves to be recognized and celebrated! -Melissa K.

Senora Cuello from Clear Lake is such a dedicated and caring teacher. I'm very impressed with how much Spanish the students know when they leave Clear Lake. The 5th grade field trip she puts together is one of the best field trips I've ever been on as a chaperone. Not only is she a great teacher but she cares so much for the students. She takes the time to get to know them on a personal level and make that connection with them. She even checks in on them when they move to middle school and encourages them to visit her back at Clear Lake if they are there. Senora also takes a great interest in the school as a whole and keeps up with PTO activities and is supportive and helps when she can. Our family is so grateful to have her at our school and are excited that our 2nd grade student will have her next year. -Jessica J.
