August 14, 2020 Welcome Letter

Dear Clear Lake Families,

We hope you have enjoyed your summer! We welcome you back for the 2020-2021 school year. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of your child and are looking forward to seeing students back in the building. Our hallways have been empty and lonely the past five months and we are ready to greet our kids!

We have been working hard to create and implement safety procedures to prepare Clear Lake to be as safe as it can be during these challenging and uncertain times.

We realize that this year may look and feel a little different. Please know that we are working diligently to help our students have the most enjoyable school year filled with learning, growth and fun! One of our primary focuses as we begin the school year will be developing safe, trusting relationships with our school community. We are looking forward to getting to know our students and their families.

As a staff, we will strive to engage our students in learning experiences that foster their curiosity, challenges them and meets their individual needs. I'm am reminded of our student pledge that we recite together on a daily basis. The closing line states that "We, the Clear Lake School Community, will learn, lead, believe and succeed." We have before us opportunities to live out our pledge and forge paths that will help us all grow and be successful. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement!

I know you may have several questions as we approach the beginning of the school year. Please know that I am here to support you and provide guidance with any needs that you may have. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Attached below you will find a link to our school hub for information called "The Clear Lake Connection." This Haiku link will provide you with information and resources regarding the 2020-2021 school year. This link will continue to be updated and I will do my best to communicate with you when additional changes are made to this page. Again, we can't wait to see our returning students and meet our new ones. Have a great weekend!

Brad Bigelow, Principal
