March 18, Clear Lake Connector

Dear Clear Lake Families,

We hope this finds you all doing well!

We are thankful for warmer temps this past week allowing students to go outside without all their winter gear.

As we approach the latter part of the school year please continue to talk to your student about the importance of finishing the school year strong. We are challenging our students to be their best, not just academically, but also with their overall decision making. We are encouraging our students to continue to put forth maximum effort in the classroom and most importantly, in their interactions with their classmates. Our students recite the Clear Lake Pledge each morning which has an emphasis on being a "caring community member." We will continue to reinforce what this means at school and will recognize individuals who demonstrate this specific learner profile trait. Thank you in advance for reinforcing this message to your student at home!

We wanted to take this opportunity to remind our school community of our electronics (phones, personal devices, etc) policy. We understand that students do bring devices with them to school on a daily basis. These devices should be stored in their backpacks throughout the school day unless given permission from their classroom teacher. Should a device be out during an unapproved time during the school day, the staff member will collect the device until the end of the day. Should it occur again, the device will be turned into the office. A third offense will result in the parent/guardian picking the device up from the office. In addition, electronic devices should not be going outside for recess. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions.
